Navigate the app

After signing in, you land on the main Chat view. A sidebar on the left gives you access to the rest of Navigator.

Study collection picker

Near the top of the sidebar, a Study collection dropdown sets which protocol you're working in. It scopes more than chat - Contacts, Visits, and Artifacts all follow whichever collection is active there. See The study collection picker.

ItemWhat it does
ChatAsk questions about documents in a selected study collection
NotificationsView responses you sent to Principal Investigators (PIs) and track their status
CollectionsUpload and manage study document collections (protocols)
VisitsView a protocol's Schedule of Assessments; also see the patient roster if your site has the Patients module enabled - see Visits & Schedule of Assessments
ArtifactsBrowse saved answers and notes you or colleagues have shared
UsersManage PI contacts for sending responses. Site administrators also see a Site users tab to invite teammates - see Users & site capacity

Change your password or sign out from your account menu at the bottom of the sidebar. Medical monitors see My PI Inbox instead of the standard notifications list.

Visits always appears in the sidebar - Schedule of Assessments needs nothing extra. The Patients sub-tab inside Visits is the only part that requires the module to be enabled for your site by an administrator; without it, Patients won't be available but Schedule of Assessments still is.

Chat header

At the top of the chat view, the page title shows which study collection is active (or "No study collections yet" if none exist). This is read-only - switch collections from the Study collection picker in the sidebar, not from the header.

Mobile layout

On smaller screens, tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left to open the sidebar. Tap a section to navigate and the sidebar closes automatically.

Site and sponsor administrators may see additional links under a Management section:

Site administrators manage collections and their access from Collections → Manage on a study collection - see Restrict collection and document access. There is no separate settings page; collection and document access live inside that dialog.

Sponsor administrators use Insights and sponsor protocol views; they do not use chat or Collections uploads in Navigator.
