Save and share artifacts
Artifacts are saved documents created from chat responses or written manually. Use them to keep vetted answers, visit notes, or reference material your team can reuse.
Save a chat response as an artifact
- In chat, find the message you want to save.
- Click Save as artifact (bookmark icon) on that message.
- Enter a title and optionally edit the content in the rich text editor.
- Click Save.
The artifact is saved to your personal library and linked to the conversation it came from.
Browse artifacts
Open Artifacts from the sidebar. Use the tabs at the top:
- My Artifacts — responses and notes you saved
- Shared with Site — artifacts others have shared with you (whole site or by name)
Use the search bar to find artifacts by title. Turn on Group by collection to organize artifacts by study collection. Each card shows the linked protocol when the artifact was saved from chat with a collection selected—new collections are labeled correctly (not grouped as "No collection").
Share an artifact
Only the person who created an artifact can change sharing. Medical monitors and sponsor administrators cannot share artifacts from Navigator.
- Open an artifact you own (from the list or detail view).
- Click Share.
- Choose who can see it:
- Private — only you (default for new saves)
- Specific people — check colleagues at your site, then Save
- Everyone at this site — visible under Shared with Site for all site users
- Click Save to apply.
Shared artifacts show a Shared indicator and, when available, who shared them and when. You can open Share again anytime to narrow access, add people, or make an artifact private.
Site administrators can edit or delete any artifact visible at the site. Other users can only change artifacts they created.
Edit or delete
- Edit — update title or body content; changes are saved immediately.
- Delete — permanently removes the artifact (your own, or any site artifact if you are a site admin).
Download
Some artifacts can be Downloaded for offline reference or your records.
